Once upon a time in a land called Indiana there lived a boy named Bret who loved animals, and collected stray dogs that followed him every where. Bret was a loving child who cared very deeply about others, and one day he met another boy at school who was just like him. They looked at each other and smiled. A strange sigh of relief came over them as they finally felt like they belonged somewhere in the universe. One day after school the boys walked home together holding hands and admiring each others beauty for they saw each other for who they were inside. They saw a light shining from there hearts that could only be described as a true feeling. When the boys got home they looked at each like this was it. Bret asked "will I see you again", and the other boy smiled and kissed Bret softly on the cheek and said "sure , tomorrow at school". Bret sighed and said "ok then, see you later" as he watched him walk away. Bret never saw the boy again and one day he retreated back to his room curled up crying in the closet. His mom said "are you ok, whats wrong". Bret sniffled and said "I miss my friend". She said "oh that, it's just a phase, you'll grow out of it". Bret felt terrible after that and was never the same. After many years Bret grew up feeling jaded. Nothing seemed real and hopelessness set in. His family was very mean to him all those years and Bret didn't really know why, but one day he realized that he was gay and his family were such devoted rednecks that they wouldn't even talk about it. They seemed to know that Bret was different but never explained anything. Bret cried for many years never knowing who he was, so whatever happened to Bret? Well he grew out of his family and started his own with a new boyfriend and a garden and two wonderfull puppies, and lived happily ever after.

Northwest Indiana Gary but spent many dropped off mom summers in North Judson with my family.
I wanted to add something here in all fairness. My mom was gay and made it very hard on me because she always said being gay was a lonely life for men. She wanted grand children and insisted that I not be gay. I ended up having three great kids by a couple of women but was divorced to both of them. It's a long story from then till now. I've messed my life up pretty good by listening to my family, come to find out they didn't care about the real me at all. I've tried to kill myself years ago after bouts of homelessness and hopelessness and ended up giving up on life it took me years to finally once and for all, be myself and it felt as though the world was smiling at me. I looked up to the rainy sky and let the water splash on my face and realized I wasn't alone I was so small compared to sky, to the ocean, to the world. .....I finally...came out to myself.

That is really cool. It is a small world. I used to work for pioneer in the summer detassleing corn and after that we'd be so hot and tired we'd walk stright into the pond, with our cloths on. Indiana, I love the place but some of the polotics are more backward than they are here in texas. Did you know any Cruce's.

Nope, can't say I did. My mother grew up there, so she might have. Unfortunately she's passed, so I can't verify if she did or not. Very small world indeed!
